Welcome to Vince Wishart's Inner Sanctum
My new Tattoo Shop Ascending Koi Tattoo and Apparel 403 276 3066
II have just opened another tattoo shop with my partener Suzanne Delaine. We have the most prime location on the corner of Edmonton Trail and 16 th Ave. A very cool shop with a zen appeal. Everyone that gets tattooed here comments on the peaceful experience here.

I have taken the plunge and invested in the new Nuema tattoo machine system http://neumatattoomachines.com/. The next generation in tattooing with less pain, less scabbing, shorter healing time, and the most dynamic results. Ive had several nuema sessions on me and i love the results.

i have also ordered in the "Neo-tat" tattoo machines. originally designed as a cosmetic
tattooing tool, but most are finding the results second to none as far as healing time, eaze of tattooing, precision and the ink goes in super fast; therefore less cash for you to spend as a client. I personally find them amazing.

Ive had 2 art shows this year. one at the Epcor Centre for the Performing Arts. Had a few thousand people show to that one. Thank you to Asya for her great job on that one. Also a show with Darcy Lesecki and friends at Inside. Great colaborative show.

Just like to thank everyone who supported my art show @
www.artspot-calgary.com It was entitled: The Surreal Realms of Photoreactivity. It was a blacklight art show and a smashing success to boot.

i will be taking paypal deposits very soon for those out of town folks that would like to book some time with me, or for those times i travel to other places ie: conventions.

Feel free to check my art and interests and to leave some comments in the guest book at the bottom of this page...happy surfing

Mission statement

37 years have brought me where I am today. My first 20 years found me in Nanaimo B.C. the beauty of the island is second to none. My Mom (Zosia Miller) was an accomplished potter. My Dad (Edward Wishart) is a phenomenal carver. My uncle (Vic Wojotowicz) was a tattoo artist/owner at Jokers Wild. Along with being painter of oils.

I enjoy a wide of range of mediums. I made it through one year of Art school in Malaspina College Nanaimo. I designed the Drinking Driving Counterattack symbol while in high school. I designed t-shirt designs for large clothing manufacturers such as Zulu Airwear, L.A. Cool, Godly Garments. I have done large scale sculpture commissions for the Stampede Board and Calgary Science Centre. My favorate medium is airbrush.Carving, pen and inks, drawing, Portraits and caracatures were how I acheived A+ averages in high school art class.

I formerly owned and operated a tattoo shop in Airdrie. I currently own Wish-Art Studios where I am a artist specializing in portraits and large japanese. This is where I also conduct my fine art endeavors.

The battle between right and wrong, good and evil, recovery and addiction and individualized spirtualities are a constant theme in my work. A new spirituality has emerged in me and for this I am eternally grateful, and my intention is to share this spiritual outlook with you the viewer.

I had the opportunity to do a ceiling mural for Kanes Harley Davidson. I developed a love for working above my head and portraying the heavenly expanses. Ceiling murals are my favorate so far. I was recently accepted to do a large scale multiple mural project for Fresh Start Recovery Centre (a 50 room centre).

The constant thread that has tied my life together is visual art. However other disciplines have brought me great joy, but being a servant to others is somehow the greatest joy I can describe. I served 3 years as Vice President on the board of directors for Opportunities for the Disabled Foundation. To be able to reach down into a life full of turmoil, and give a person a hand up instead of a hand out is without parallel.

Today I stand in front of this rectangular box we call a canvass. I pour my medium and my soul into this box all the while striving to think outside the box. The painting leads me to the realms of heaven. It is then I am most healthy, utmostly alive and invigorated, All the while praying for pure intention while creating a perfect realm within the box.

In a world of haste and turmoil, I choose not to subscribe to the insanity, and slow down and smell in the roses, watch an innocent infant play, watch a sunset, marvel at the majesty of a mountain, feel the snow hit my face, listen to the rain patter. I was created to enjoy these things, and though I have strayed from this path a few times, I’m so grateful to have experienced certain hells as now I have a deeper appreciation for the wonders of creation around us.
