"Earthy Art Homes " is our handle given to a sustainable building design that Micheal Reynolds pioneered many years ago. His concept was to create a building that worked totally in harmony with nature, using recycled materials. He deemed this process "Biotechture". Today there are "Earthships" all over the world, with whole neighborhoods of them being built all off the grid. These buildings are totally environmentally friendly, just about anyone can build them no matter what skill level. Due to possible copyright infringement we will call our homes: "Earthy Art Homes". Art in the sense that the building itself is a sculpture - but also in the fact that i will be doing artistic feature walls and scultures in the building which will make ours very unique indeed. We see a big necessity for these buildings here in Canada, and would love to target our market in western canada, though travel is not out of the question.
We will be offering 2 services: 1. to become Project Managers/General Contractors 2.Running workshops on your project to carry the message to others.
We are in the process of creating "How to booklets" to explain the processes along your journey of building. Bear with us we are just getting started in this typ of building concept, though we have extensive construction backgrounds in all facets of construction. the leveling and plumbing of the tyre walls up to the sill plate is the most tricky proceedure on the whole project. to get this right is difference between a sill plate and a bond beam...and the bond beam is very pricey.
